Sandisk releases a 400GiB SSD that plugs into your DDR3 RAM slot.

Sandisk have released a 400GiB SSD drive that enables a server machine to expand storage by plugging the device into a standard RAM slot. This is an interesting device, the ability to sacrifice a RAM slot and install a Solid State Drive instead. This device, placing storage closer on the motherboard to the CPU is a good way to decrease latency significantly. An exciting new development from Sandisk.
