Quake Mission Pack 1: Scourge of Armagon Secrets Start Level: Nightmare Skill can be accessed by going along the passage between normal and easy and finding the room full of boxes. Jump up through the boxes to a lift, which will take you up to nightmare skill level. Episode 1: Level HIP1M1 - The Pumping Station Secret: 1/5 Goodies: Mega Health Go through the first side door you come to and go to the area with the moat. As you go down the stairs, look up and shoot the button on the ceiling. This opens a door to an elevator. Level HIP1M1 - The Pumping Station Secret: 2/5 Goodies: Red Armour About half way down the initial spiral staircase you'll find a rom with two boxes. To the left is a wall which is out of place, shoot it. Level HIP1M1 - The Pumping Station Secret: 3/5 Goodies: Proximity mine launcher. In the large outside area there is a small shootable button on the bridge support, Shooting it opens a room under it. Level HIP1M1 - The Pumping Station Secret: 4/5 Goodies: Ring of shadows In the room where you can see the exit (behind the force field) shoot the yellow ceiling light to open a door in the control panel. Level HIP1M1 - The Pumping Station Secret: 5/5 Goodies: Mega Health In the final room there is a shootable button on top of one of the boxes on the right, jump up and shoot it and more smaller boxes will slide out making jumping up them possible. Level HIP1M2 - Storage Facility Secret: 1/3 Goodies: Quad Damage Before you reach the gold key door you'll go along a ledge over the start area, look across the gap and shoot the wall directly to the left of the upward slope to open a secret room. Level HIP1M2 - Storage Facility Secret: 2/3 Goodies: Yellow Armour In the gold key room you'll see some armour on one of the boxes. Jump to it from the pile next to it. Level HIP1M2 - Storage Facility Secret: 1/3 Goodies: Exit to secret level. In one of the first rooms you come to you'll see a shootable button above one of the doors. When you shoot it and go through the door you'll see a bridge risen to another door but you can't jump up to it. The trick is to launch a proximity mine onto the button, run around over the force bridge and to the start of the bridge (that you couldn't get to before) and wait. Eventually the mine will blow up and the blast will trigger the button and raise the bridge before you. Go across. Level HIP1M3 - The Lost Mine Secret: 1/3 Goodies: Red Armour Go down the mine and out run the boulders. (Go Indiana) A bit further down you'll see some cells on a lade, go back up and hug the left side of the cave wall as you come back down, you'll go through a secret door and come out on the ledge. Level HIP1M3 - The Lost Mine Secret: 2/3 Goodies: Ring of Shadows In the section where you shoot the exploding boxes you can climb onto the boulders on the left. To do so use the rail sticking up at a funny angle. Once you're up there walk over the light on the floor to open a compartment in the control panel area. Level HIP1M3 - The Lost Mine Secret: 3/3 Goodies: Mega Health Go through the silver key door to room leading to the crusher room. In the opposite corner to that door (on your left) is a button, pressing it opens the bars to the left. Jump into the gap and up on top of the bars as they close. Continue of until you reach the secret. Level HIP1M4 - Research facility Secret: 1/3 Goodies: Green Armour At the end of the room with the silver key you need to go to the top of the ramps and run back down before the panel to the right closes. Level HIP1M4 - Research facility Secret: 2/3 Goodies: Nails Through the silver key door and up the elevator is a room with a control panel on the right. There is a button on the far side of this panel which opens a door in another part of the panel. Level HIP1M4 - Research facility Secret: 3/3 Goodies: Nails Stand right at the gold door and look to the left. High up on the wall is a blue light, shoot it for some nails. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 1/7 Goodies: Mega health From the start swim straight ahead. There is a shootable button in a shaft in the ceiling at the right angled bend. An elevator will lift you up to the secret. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 2/7 Goodies: Mega Health In the area with the three buttons you'll see a balcony with a red button on the ceiling, shoot it to lower an elevator which will take you up to the secret area. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 3/7 Goodies: Shells, Nails After getting secret 2 go to the left of the entry point (instead of the right) You'll walk across a sort of bridge. Simply jump over the edge. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 4/7 Goodies: Red Armour You'll come to an area where you get ambushed. There is a arrow pointing to the top of one of the blocks. Jump on top of that block to reveal the armour on another one. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 5/7 Goodies: Quad Damage Open the sewerage system, then jump in the water. Under one of the walkways is the secret. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 6/7 Goodies: Super Nailgun When you are at the area overlooking the start point you can jump own on to a ledge with the Super Nailgun. Level HIP1M5 - Military Complex (Secret Level) Secret: 7/7 Goodies: Yellow Armour Near the gold door is a walkway above and to the right. One of the wall textures is shifted down a bit, shoot it to reveal the secret. Episode 2: Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 1/8 Goodies: Mega Health. There is a shootable button high up to the left on the entrance door. This opens a passage in the water to your left. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 2/8 Goodies: Red Armour Find the door that hinges up. Turn around and go under the stairs and shoot the right hand end of the wall on your left. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 3/8 Goodies: Proximity Mine Launcher, switch for secret #8 In the same rom open the hinged door, ho back up the steps and jump on it and push the brick in the wall that sticks out. This opens a room to the right. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 4/8 Goodies: Quad Damage There are three buttons you use to access the silver key, two of them have secrets near them. There is a split level staircase (with a landing) There is a shootable button on the landing low down facing the stairs. This opens a room with the quad. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 5/8 Goodies: Mega health At one of the other buttons there is a shootable button on the roof hidden by the rafters. This opens a room at the bottom of the steps to the right. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 6/8 Goodies: Empathy Shield In the room behind the silver door shoot a rocket at the cross beams to get access to the shield. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 7/8 Goodies: Ring of shadows In the walkway above secrets #2 and #3 shoot the square window. Level HIP2M1 - Ancient Realms Secret: 8/8 Goodies: Access to secret level. Shoot the red button above the exit and go back to secret #3, the bars will now be lowered and you can go down the elevator. Level HIP2M2 - The Black Cathedral Secret: 1/5 Goodies: Pentagram of protection. Find the library. One of the shelves opens to reveal stairs to a secret room. Level HIP2M2 - The Black Cathedral Secret: 2/5 Goodies: Quad Damage Elsewhere you'll see a lone bookcase. There is a book sticking out. Press it and the case will slide open revealing an alcove. Level HIP2M2 - The Black Cathedral Secret: 3/5 Goodies: Shells, health, nails Turn and go up the stairs at the gold door. In the large room with the button there is a secret room to the right of the upward stairs. Shoot the block of stone arranged vertically. Level HIP2M2 - The Black Cathedral Secret: 4/5 Goodies: Mega health In the main church stand at the lectern and look up. There is a shootable button on the ceiling. One of the pews moves back revealing a teleport. Jump in. Level HIP2M2 - The Black Cathedral Secret: 5/5 Goodies: Mega health, exit short cut. In the area with the collapsing floor push the button and look back where you came. Above the door is a block with a cross, shoot it and a passage will open to your right. Level HIP2M2 - The Black Cathedral Extra bonus secret (sort of) Goodies: You'll see Shooting Jesus in the Main Church area has interesting results. Save first. Level HIP2M3 - The Catacombs Secret: 1/4 Goodies: Cells Go over the little arched bridge and stop in from of the plank. Turn around and look up. Jump up on the boulders to reach this secret. Level HIP2M3 - The Catacombs Secret: 2/4 Goodies: Super Nailgun, Nails Open the drawbridge and continue along until you reach the doors on you right. Don't go through them, instead go to the end of the corridor and head butt the torch at the end of the wall. A new corridor opens with a teleport at the end, go through it. Level HIP2M3 - The Catacombs Secret: 3/4 Goodies: Mega health After going through the gold key door shoot the cross on the wall to the right and the health will appear. Level HIP2M3 - The Catacombs Secret: 4/4 Goodies: Empathy Shield In the room past the silver key door you'll walk up some stairs Look to your right and you'll see some really short beams (ie steps) hop up on them and walk along the ledge, drop down the hole in the floor to find the secret room. Level HIP2M4 - The Crypt Secret: 1/6 Goodies: Horn of Conjuring Find the room (near the start) with a bookcase and three coffins. Jump on top of the book case and a panel will open in the wall opposite. Level HIP2M4 - The Crypt Secret: 2/6 Goodies: Mjolnir In the same room as secret #1 jump into one of the coffins. It will teleport you to a secret room. Level HIP2M4 - The Crypt Secret: 3/6 Goodies: Rockets Go along the hallway to the right of secret #1 and #2. Torn right and take the wind tunnel to the Pentagram lever, instead of pushing th lever walk along the ledge to the right. Continue on and the wall ahead will open revealing the secret. Level HIP2M4 - The Crypt Secret: 4/6 Goodies: Impressing Levelord Grab the pentagram and go straight to the bridge over the lava, jump in ASAP and turn around towards the start of the bridge. The wall will open at the end and you'll get the message "The Levelord is impressed" we didn't think it was that hard. Level HIP2M4 - The Crypt Secret: 5/6 Goodies: Empathy Shield In the room with the loosely stacked coffin lids jump on top of the stack. A room with the shield is opened. Level HIP2M4 - The Crypt Secret: 6/6 Goodies: Red Armour, laser cannon Get the gold key and look out the window on the right. There is a sloping ledge above the silver door. Walk along it and a section of wall will open revealing a passage to the secret. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Secret: 1/6 Goodies: nails Opposite the drawbridge you'll see some nails blocked by bars. To open them you have to shoot the face above the door. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Secret: 2/6 Goodies: Red Armour As the bars rise (Secret #1) jump on top of them. At maximum height take a jump at the rectangular panel in the wall which will open. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Secret: 3/6 Goodies: Mjolnir There is a secret room above the level entrance. Jump to it from the balcony. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Secret: 4/6 Goodies: Mega health Find the room with the long I shaped object in the middle. Jump off the steps onto the I and press the pad in the middle. A door will open leading to the ogre platform. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Secret: 5/6 Goodies: Yellow Armour Behind the gold door is a room with a pool of slime in the middle. Press the brick sticking out of the wall to open a door opposite. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Secret: 6/6 Goodies: Quad Damage In the room with the piles of blocks you need to jump from pile to pile, eventually a door opens with a teleport to the roof above. Level HIP2M5 - Mortum's Keep Special Bonus Secret Goodies: Make Levelord Giggle Use No Clip to get to the top of the pillar to the right of the exit. You'll get a nice little message. Level HIP2M6 - The Gremlin's Domain (Secret Level) Secret: 1/6 Goodies: Yellow Armour Down the stairs from the start there is a room with an ogre behind some bars. Shoot the wall below and to the right of the bars to reveal an elevator to the secret. Level HIP2M6 - The Gremlin's Domain (Secret Level) Secret: 2/6 Goodies: Thunderbolt After getting the silver key swim up to the room with the slit windows. Shoot the red symbol above the staircase. This lowers the pillars in the room with the gold door revealing another red symbol in the exact centre of the ceiling. Shoot that one and a side passage will open up. Level HIP2M6 - The Gremlin's Domain (Secret Level) Secret: 3/6 Goodies: Quad Damage Near the silver key you'll find a wetsuit. Open the doors to the right and you'll see a red button near the ceiling. Shoot it and then enter the underwater passage. There is now a hole in the ceiling to the Quad. Level HIP2M6 - The Gremlin's Domain (Secret Level) Secret: 4/6 Goodies: Mjolnir In the area with the silver key you need to shoot the square panel on the side wall. This opens revealing a passage to the secret. Level HIP2M6 - The Gremlin's Domain (Secret Level) Secret: 5/6 Goodies: Red Armour, Rockets Shoot the stained glass window directly opposite the silver key door (It's darker than the others) to reveal a teleporter. Level HIP2M6 - The Gremlin's Domain (Secret Level) Secret: 6/6 Goodies: Ring of Shadows In the room overlooking the exit you need to shoot the head on the wall opposite the windows. It opens to reveal the secret. Episode 3: Level HIP3M1 - Tur Torment Secret: 1/6 Goodies: Rockets Right at the start go to the area with the switch to bring over the gondola. To the left is a very narrow ledge, walk along it and a wall will open. Level HIP3M1 - Tur Torment Secret: 2/6 Goodies: Ring of Shadows Shoot the red button in the centre of the ceiling of the spiral staircase. This opens a wall panel. Level HIP3M1 - Tur Torment Secret: 3/6 Goodies: Rockets After getting the silver key look off the edge and jump down onto the gondola track. Go back toward the start and as you get to the left turn jump to the right onto the ledge and then go around to the rockets. Level HIP3M1 - Tur Torment Secret: 4/6 Goodies: Mega Health From the previous secret follow the ledges around until you are on the roof of the start area. Go over the roof to your left and drop down to a ledge. Level HIP3M1 - Tur Torment Secret: 5/6 Goodies: Quad Damage In front of the upper silver door is three heads along a wall. Push the left one and it will open up to reveal a ramp to the secret. Level HIP3M1 - Tur Torment Secret: 6/6 Goodies: Mega Health Go through the doors mentioned in secret #5 and go down the stairs. Slightly above you is a brick sticking out of the wall right in the corner. Shoot it and the health box will appear and two other boxes move out of the wall allowing access to it. Level HIP3M2 - Pandemonium Secret: 1/5 Goodies: Nailgun From the start go up the stairs and shoot the yellow light to the left of he cauldron. A do will open behind you. Level HIP3M2 - Pandemonium Secret: 2/5 Goodies: Shells, Nails, Health Also from the start go down the corridor and go all the way round to the left and shoot the grate. This will give access to the room you can see as you go along the corridor. Level HIP3M2 - Pandemonium Secret: 3/5 Goodies: Thunderbolt Find the bars that block the silver key. Shoot the wall to your left and a passage to the secret is revealed under the stairs. Level HIP3M2 - Pandemonium Secret: 4/5 Goodies: Nails, Shells Shoot the wall behind the silver key and a teleporter will be revealed which leads to the rafters above. Level HIP3M2 - Pandemonium Secret: 5/5 Goodies: Quad Damage After getting the gold key look over the edge. There is a button on one of the pillars which, when shot opens a room to your left. Level HIP3M3 - Limbo Secret: 1/4 Goodies: Mjolnir, shells, nails From the beginning go down the spiral stairs until you see two faces on the wall next to each other. Shoot the cross to the left of them and a wall opens opposite. Level HIP3M3 - Limbo Secret: 2/4 Goodies: Mega health From the silver key area go down the water channel. Go under water and directly ahead is a funny looking texture. Shoot it and go through to a secret room. Level HIP3M3 - Limbo Secret: 3/4 Goodies: Yellow Armour Shoot the wall behind and to the right of the gold key. Level HIP3M3 - Limbo Secret: 4/4 Goodies: Secret Level access Shoot the button above the arch in the silver key room and the cross above the arch in the gold key room. This opens the barriers in the water beneath them. Halfway along the channel swim down to the side into a room with the secret exit. Level HIP3M4 - The Gauntlet Secret: 1/6 Goodies: Red Armour In the start room shoot all the faces once. This will reveal a switch in the middle of the floor, press that to raise the armour. Level HIP3M4 - The Gauntlet Secret: 2/6 Goodies: Mega health Take the big lift and then shoot the face on the wall to your left. The opposite wall will then open. Level HIP3M4 - The Gauntlet Secret: 3/6 Goodies: Quad Damage Behind the silver key door is a wall to the right of the stairs. Shoot it to reveal a teleport to the secret. Level HIP3M4 - The Gauntlet Secret: 4/6 Goodies: Pentagram of protection. Above the silver door is a brick sticking out. Jump from the stairs to head butt it. This opens a doorway to the left, jump across and follow the passage. You can also shoot the button on the ceiling to rotate the symbol (for some bizarre reason) Level HIP3M4 - The Gauntlet Secret: 5/6 Goodies: Yellow Armour Find the bridge across the circular patch of water. Jump in the water and swim through the passage to one side, this takes you to a secret room. Level HIP3M4 - The Gauntlet Secret: 6/6 Goodies: Mega Health After the main underwater tunnel you'll emerge into a room with a large face on the wall and some stairs. Push the wall between the face and the stairs to reveal a room with the health pack inside. Level HIPDM1 - The Edge of Oblivion There are no Secrets in this level.
