Getting a lovely system information display with btop on Linux is very easy. Install this lovely utility on Linux and then a nice alternative to top(1) will be available.

The menu at the top allows selecting a different color scheme and many other options.
The flat-remix color scheme allows the utility to use terminal transparency, this looks very nice indeed.
Run btop like this to get a simpler 256-color display, while still using transparency.
