AI is getting more and more powerful. Should we be worried?

AI is shown in movies like Terminator 2. This is the kind of AI that is portrayed in movies like “I Robot”. What this means is that the computer thinks and reasons like a human being. This then becomes the human-like AI. Also, a form of strong AI is non-human like AI in which a computer program develops a totally non-human sentience and a non-human way of thinking and reasoning. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Effort to develop computer-based systems: that behave like humans: learn languages accomplish physical tasks use a perceptual apparatus With the development of practical techniques based on AI research, advocates of AI have argued that opponents of AI have repeatedly changed their position on tasks such as computer chess or speech recognition that were previously regarded as “intelligent” in order to deny the accomplishments of AI. They point out that this moving of the goalposts effectively defines “intelligence” as “whatever humans can do that machines cannot”. A speech recognition system is a type of software that allows the user to have their spoken words converted into written text in a computer application such as a word processor or spreadsheet.

Moreover, games provide cheap, robust, immersive environments for pursuing many of the core AI issues. They could be the catalyst for a rebirth in research on human-level AI The final force is the game-playing public, who are starting to demand better AI. With the saturation in the quality of computer graphics, better physics, and AI are the two technologies that have the most potential to improve gameplay. People immediately believed that computers would take over the world and robots would be here to stay. When thinking of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we have to look at what is considered both strong AI and weak AI. Strong AI makes the bold claim that computers can be made to think on a level at least equal to humans; that they are capable of cognitive mental states. Artificial intelligence (AI) results in the simulation of intellectual practices such as comprehension, rationalization, and learning symbolic information in context. In AI, the automation or programming of all aspects of human cognition is considered from its foundations in cognitive science through approaches to symbolic and sub-symbolic AI, natural language processing, computer vision, and evolutionary or adaptive systems. (Neumann n. d.) AI is considered to be an extremely intricate domain of problems and during preliminary stages in the problem-solving phase of this nature, the problem itself may be viewed poorly.

If history is an accurate gauge, computer games will continue to follow societal trends in the 21st century. One dominant theme in the modern world is the rapid spread of technology, which is having a great impact on children’s toys and computer games. The great strides in computer chip technology over the last several decades have made electronic games and toys more powerful and affordable every year. In this modern business environment, knowledge takes the leading place from other drivers of economic change such as labor, technology, and markets. The dilemma we face with soft HRM is that (as explained above in Mcdonald’s example) a lot of routine work is done by workers with minimal training and knowledge and only small numbers of highly skilled employees are required. Thompson pointed out that if employment growth is not dominated by knowledge work it’s going to be dominated by something else. These machines or agents are just that, machines, right? They are made of metal, plastic, silicone, and computer chips. If I tell a UAV to turn left it will listen, right? I don’t believe that machines are taking over just yet, but with computers such as “Deep Blue” being the founding father of AI, and human curiosity to see if true AI can be created the possibility is there for a truly powerful AI to emerge if it has not done so already…
