The new Samsung Dex application in Windows 11 allows controlling a Samsung Galaxy `phone from Windows 11. This is very nice. You can see a desktop interface rather like Gnome Shell and then access all `phone apps from your PC. This is an outstanding app. All I had to do was plug my `phone into my Windows 11 PC with a USB-C cable and then it was enabled. Windows 11 has a plethora of amazing features and this is just one more. Coming from Windows 8.1, this is very nice. I tried Windows 10 once, but it was heavy on resources, now that I have Windows 11 this is a whole new paradigm, the new look and new software plus the superior performance is amazing. With UEFI it boots in 2 seconds and is ready to use instantly. One feature Android has that Windows 11 should have is a notification history for Firefox and Youtube. The notification area of the Android interface has this and Windows 11 should have this somehow, it is very annoying when a notification for Firefox pops up and then goes away and you can not bring it back. But I guess this is a possibility.
Maybe if the programs on Windows 11 were all apps like on a mobile telephone then it could work, but notifications from Firefox should be able to be collected in a notification area and then the possibility of listing the last 20 notifications from various browsers and applications in one place. That would be a nice feature. But getting back to Samsung Dex, this has a nice way of opening apps like Youtube, they open in a window within the Dex interface and they can be dragged around and then used like normal. This is a nice way to access your phone from a Windows computer. Things like this are a very nice surprise when using a new operating system like Windows 11. The future of Windows is very bright. so now I see where the inspiration for the Gnome Shell desktop came from. They just copied Android to make a bloated and buggy Linux desktop interface.
