Write an ISO to a thumb drive easily with the etcher utility
Download this utility from the Github site. Then unpack the zip file to a empty folder, or to your desktop.
Then make it executable.
jason@Yog-Sothoth » Desktop » $ chmod +x etcher-electron-1.4.4-x86_64.AppImage
Then run the AppImage to open Etcher.
jason@Yog-Sothoth » Desktop » $ ./etcher-electron-1.4.4-x86_64.AppImage
Then it is ready to write an ISO image to a thumb drive.
Now I have chosen to write a Fedora Live ISO to a 7.8 GiB USB drive. Make sure the correct drive is chosen before you click Flash! The utility does not need to be run with sudo. It will ask for the user`s password when they click Flash.
That is how easy it is to write a bootable ISO image to a USB drive.
