Unneeded uproar over changes to Linux.

There are a few people who are upset over the changes to the Linux management. I.e the new code of conduct and the manager of the Linux kernel. Linux will not be affected, it is still the same Linux kernel and the same code, it will just be managed by another person. Going as far as 4chan did and creating a fork() of the Linux kernel is a bit too far in my opinion. This is a fork from the 16th of May 2018. They are so upset about the changes to Linux personnel. They need to get over this, it does not mean the end of the world for the Linux kernel. I visited the repo and it told me this. This branch is 29172 commits behind torvalds:master., so it is quite dated, this is quite a task. Are they going to single-handedly manage the whole kernel by themselves? I guess if they want to be uber-l33t kernel hackers, then be my guest. That would be a good way to learn programming and driver hacking. Very good way to jump in the deep end. Just ensure that you are familiar with kernel coding standards. They are set that way for a reason.

New Linux Code of Conduct.
New Linux Code of Conduct.

Read the document here: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v4.10/process/coding-style.html. This is not hard to do, just use VIM for editing code and you should be fine. People interested in Linux should focus on more important issues such as developing better software like a nice new desktop environment or improving the office suites available for the Linux desktop. That would really be a boon for all users across the world, and speed up the uptake of Linux distributions and bring in even more Linux users to the fold. That would not be a bad thing in the long run. There are plenty of open-source projects that would welcome some help from a good programmer. That is how they could really help out the Linux community. Not just forking the Linux kernel and then ending up with an outdated repository lacking many patches in commits that have been added to the main branch in the meantime. Judging by some of the code I see on the /g/ board, I really wonder if they are up to the task of managing a kernel repository at all. It is a lot of work. I mean, just look at this commits page. https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commits. Holy crap. It is very busy.

The newest stuff in the 4chan repo is 4 months ago. That is seriously outdated. Getting back to the point, there is nothing wrong with a new Linux Code of Conduct that encourages treating people better. How can anyone have a problem with that? Just people in their basements that have nothing better to do.
