Making Ubuntu look like Macintosh OSX is very simple, this theme I found is a very good recreation of the OSX Aqua theme.
Download the theme like this.

Then copy the OS-X-Leopard-master directory to your ~/.themes folder and use the preferences dialog in the MATE desktop to set the new theme. This coupled with Mac OSX icons and CrystalBlue cursor theme suits the MATE desktop environment very well.
The screenshot above shows what this theme looks like. Just search online for a nice Macintosh OSX icon theme, and the aforementioned Crystal Blue mouse cursor theme, and it will be complete. This is very nice indeed.
