GnuDB is not working in Russia. This is not a good precedent.

The GnuDB software service that automatically retrieves track information when playing an audio CD on Linux is closed to Russian music fans. This is hidden code in software that triggers if used in the Russian Federation. There may not be an excellent alternative to this as well. But this might drive users to just pirate music in FLAC format instead, then you will get the tags and album art easily. Sure we are all upset about the war, but not all Russians support it do they? But then again, once the sanctions really begin to bite, then the popular opinion will turn against the war and the people will want to go back to normal and enjoy western comforts again. I mean it is a small thing, but when you can open an audio CD as a folder in Dolphin and see the tracks as audio files properly tagged and named, this is very convenient. If this is not working, then you might as well pirate the music instead. I hope the war can end sometime soon, it can not last much longer if Russia can not build any more tanks due to a lack of parts. If they are lacking minerals and oil due to the aforementioned sanctions, then they will have to capitulate.

I mean what is the alternative? Nuclear war? You can not even detonate a nuclear weapon in the world without it being detected. Firing nuclear weapons would be suicide, the other nation would detect them and launch all of their own missiles as well, so both countries are destroyed.
