Running Doom and other games on the Apple Vision Pro?

Could it be possible to run Doom and other games on an Apple Vision Pro? I think so. The Apple Vision Pro is running a standard Apple OS with Darwin kernel 23.1.0 and uses a 64-bit ARM CPU. So it could run a port of Doom easily. It has an 8-core CPU, so this would be fine running a 3d-shooter. Imagine if the hand tracking worked and you could reach out to grab a medikit or press a switch. And with 16 gigabytes of RAM, it could handle very large maps. This port of Doom runs on iOS and supports touch controls, someone should try this.

Maybe it would be better to port Gzdoom instead, I have found a post here: https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=72910. This is the source code for a version of Gzdoom that compiles and runs for iPad, it could be made to work on the Apple Vision Pro. This would be an interesting port for sure.

I mean, someone got a Doom game running on an Apple IIe using the Myst engine, so it must be possible.

Doom running on an 8088 CPU. This means you can run Doom on a 286 now.
