Very useful Android networking apps.

Some very useful Android apps for working with a Linux server on a network.

Juice SSH.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonelli.juicessh&hl=en_AU&gl=US&pli=1

This is a very useful app for connecting to a Linux server over SSH on a network. It can save the last used connections to be ready for use again, and it has a great command line interface with up and down arrows and the usual Android controls to be able to navigate a Linux command line on an Android phone.

Network Analyzer.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.techet.netanalyzerlite.an&hl=en_AU&gl=US

Network Analyzer can be used to find problems on a Local Area Network. This is supplied with a host of useful network utilities such as ping and traceroute to troubleshoot a network issue. As well as a DNS lookup and WHOIS implementation. One other very useful feature is listing all IP addresses on your network and the manufacturer of the network hardware in the device. It may also list all WiFi signals in your area, this requires the granting of location permissions to the app.

ConnectBot.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.connectbot&hl=en_AU&gl=US

This is a very useful terminal emulator application for Android. This allows the use of the Cntrl key to interrupt a running command with ^c. This is very important. Some other apps do not have this functionality and therefore are useless when running ping unless you use the -c parameter.

This can analyze your current progress and generate a study plan to address any shortfalls. It has 1000+ practice questions that are updated as technology progresses and networking protocols change.
