I just got a second-hand Brother DCP-J562DW printer and scanner. I plugged it into my Linux server and it works perfectly. I plugged an SD card into it and I can scan a document using the touch screen.

Then I may also mount the SD card on the Linux server and use it easily to access the scanned files.
jason@jason-Lenovo-H50-55:~$ sudo mount /dev/sdc1 /mnt/windows/ |
It is not detected by Xsane, but this is OK, the Linux 5.4 kernel supports this hardware, maybe I need to find a solution somewhere. But it is a useful piece of hardware. I have not tested printing, but the scanning works just fine. And that is perfect.
