The massive growth of piracy will not be stopped by government policy. The Internet is ever evolving and piracy sites just keep on moving to other addresses. Any website can just move to another web address and keep on trading as normal. Any website can just have mirrors that go up and are used to share pirated movies. The Pirate Bay and x1337x are still up. Pirated files will never be stopped, there is always a way to share pirated files. It will just go underground. But the government wants to stop piracy and terrorism by making encryption illegal, even though many legitimate services require encryption. They have no clue. Senator Brandis cannot even explain what metadata is. And he supposedly uses the Internet himself, and E-Mail. Or does he have a secretary to do everything for him? He is retarded. And he is creating policy. They are taking down torrent websites all of the time, but they keep coming back better than ever. That will never stop happening, just create another web address and point it to the new server. That takes not time at all. Or a new network could be created that bypasses the censorship and government monitoring.
That is a very good idea. That would really help those who seek out Game of Thrones in 2019. There are torrent sites on TOR, but downloading files from TOR is risky. Something will have to happen. Piracy does happen, it will always happen. Ever since people copied floppy disks and shared copies of software. That is why old games would sometimes ask you to enter a passage from the manual to continue. But this did not stop people. And copying cassette tapes with a dual tape stereo.
