Arma Reforger is out now.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1874880/Arma_Reforger/. This is a stress test game to test out the new Enfusion Engine before the Arma 4 game goes into production. But it runs very well. Framerates are better than with Arma 3 and the Enfusion engine does allow better detail in the map. Transitioning to swimming from walking is fast and works quite well. Just a pity it comes with such as small selection of vehicles and weapons. Shooting windows results in a broken window, and not the bullet magically passing through the glass. This is pretty nice. You can even flush toilets and play the piano by interacting with it. But the server browser is glitchy and will not even load server listings properly. I guess we have to wait for a patch in the next few days. This is not good. The only servers I could find are empty. The Enfusion Workbench tools are confusing. I need to find a tutorial to get started on making a mod. The radio functionality includes the inclusion of radio frequencies. If a team steals an enemy radio in PVP mode, they can listen to enemy comms. This is great. Far better than the system in Arma 3. Much more immersive.

I just hope they fix the floaty controls, although the framerate is very good, it needs to tighten up the controls a little bit and also add an EDEN editor to the game. This would make mission editing much easier. I also had a glitch in a building where the inside went totally black. But it was fixed when I made it back out. Very strange. At least you can have a nice view distance and this looks great. I just wish there were tutorials on how to set up the world editor. It looks very promising indeed. You can import a shapefile, so it might be possible to convert an Arma 3 terrain to Enfusion if you have the source files.
