The Stalker 2 game is still in development, but there is still no information about it at all. When games are in development, normally, there are plenty of teasers and videos released to show the progress of the game, but with this, all we got was wallpaper and a soundtrack file on the website. Stalker Oblivion Lost had a massive amount of teaser content out in the open before it was released in 2007 as Shadow of Chernobyl. But why are there no images and any more teasers for Stalker 2? Does this mean it is just vaporware to get investors? I think that might be the case. This is a pity, there are teaser images for Oblivion Lost from 2002, this is a while before it finally came out. Originally, it was to be set in Crimea. Then the design shifted to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. This would have been cool, but the final location is the best, because of the accident in the power plant. So they did good in the end. It is a pity that the original maps were not in the final game, they would have been awesome. Although Lost Alpha does have beautiful maps like Cordon and Countryside. They are massive as well.
The countryside map is 10 square kilometres. This is a very large map indeed. Modding for Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat is very easy. Adding custom music is the simplest thing. And it changes the atmosphere, restoring Russian voices to SoC makes a big difference too. If someone wants a nice game to play, they could try out the latest Stalkersoup, or the Stalker Anomaly mod, both have a lot of maps and good gameplay. Stalkersoup is adding realistic injuries to the mod. And has very accurate weapons. It is easy to die, but it is easy to kill enemies as well. it also has an MP3 player in the game, the player can collect flash drives and play the music in the MP3 player, or listen to the radio whilst killing mutants. This one is set entirely underground, this means it is different from the vanilla game and will be quite a test of skill and determination. It is called В западне and is an addon for CoP. That mod can only be played in Master difficulty, as you play as an experienced USSS soldier and you are not suited to playing as Novice. Stalker modders are creating amazing and varied modded experiences, the Stalker 2 developers might not even deliver the expected product. It is very playable, the character begins in the Laundromat in the city of Pripyat. Then they must go into Pripyat underground. This is the path the player takes in Call of Pripyat but in reverse. Quite a good idea. This will be quite a task though. The underground is full of Snorks and Zombies. So progressing slowly will be very important. Loading up on food and ammo before entering the tunnels will be the most important thing the player can do to prepare.
