There is a great way to avoid advertisements on YouTube. Since they are forcing ads even with uBlock Origin adblocker running, this is very annoying. But there is a nice app for Linux and Windows that can play YouTube videos and even allow you to subscribe and follow your favorite channels.
FreeTube is the best way to use YouTube in 2023. YouTube may be implementing advertisements in the actual video stream rather like Twitch, so avoiding this is imperative. FreeTube is very fast and transitions between pages fast. This is a great way to handle subscriptions and keep up with the latest videos on your favorite channels. The only issue is that it does not seem to handle playlists, but this is fine.

For watching YouTube on Android, use the NewPipe app. This supports playlists and playing another video once the current video has finished, this is the best YouTube experience on mobile.
