There is a very nice script available. This will add a nice progress bar to the bottom of the MPV movie player window. This will always display in the MPV window and is very useful to keep track of the progress of a movie.
Place this script in the ~/.config/mpv folder and then it will be enabled at once. As a consequence of how MPV handles drawing the osd, this script is not compatible with the built-in osc. If you want to use it, you should add osc=no into your MPV config. But this is an extremely useful addon for a very useful movie player.
