The Narodnaya Solyanka Joint pack 2 Stalker mod is the best I think. I tried it again, and I finished the cave map. And now I need to fight with Wolf`s men. Feels good to pass a Stalker rite of passage. This is quite good indeed. Very hard, but a challenge is good. After getting past the railway bridge to the stalker camp, the fun begins. Take the medicine from Doc and then fight many horrible enemies in the underground caves. After the player manages to find the Doctor`s counterpart in the caves, they take the medicine from him and escape the nightmare. This was not too hard at all. Now there are familiar missions like helping Wolf`s men to capture the car park and drive out the bandits. And a quest to find a PDA. New Arsenal 6.0 has the caves as well, but they are harder and involve passing through maps full of Nazis after finishing the caves, then the Abandoned Hospital and Limansk, but one of the transition points causes the game to crash, and the player cannot progress at all. That is very annoying. I wanted to play a more pure Stalker soup styled mod.
Narodnaya Solyanka Joint Pack 2 is very famous, so I decided to give it a go again. I managed to get through it this time. The caves can be frustrating, but you get there in the end. In the screenshot below, there is a shot of the goal, this is the Doctor in the caves. I am not sure how they survive down there, how would you get water and ammo? But they manage somehow. Another mod like pure NS OP 2 is Stalker Soup, this has 56 levels and a massive story, including Narodnaya Solyanka and The Collector. This is getting more stable as it goes on, despite the amount of content. I do not know if Stalker 2 will be as massive as this, it is not definite if it will even release. We will have to wait and see. It may not have the same atmosphere as Shadow Of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat. At least stalker modders can make something like this to play instead. maybe NS OP 3 will come out eventually. Or a whole new Stalker game with all new maps and a new story following on from Call of Pripyat.
